The invention relates to a vehicle seat comprising a backrest, a seat part which is connected thereto and a thigh rest which is embodied in a displaceable manner on the seat part. The aim of the invention is to produce a seat for a vehicle wherein the thigh rest is used to maintain objects. Said aim is achieved by virtue of the fact that the thigh rest (22) or a section (7) of the thigh rest (22) can be pivotably displaced on the seat part (3) from an approximately horizontal seating position (6), to a maintaining position (13) which is pivoted about an angle (<) and back.
