<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems; water vapor is dew-condensed and water drops are generated and the water drops stick on a paper passing through a fixing apparatus, when the upper part of a nip part is covered with the inside wall of a casing and a transporting guide, and also, when a press roller or a heat roller is positioned above the nip part, because of the constitution that the transporting path is formed in a horizontal direction. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, an opening for a paper discharge port D as a paper passing port is formed in an area including a part just above the nip part B formed by the heat roller 11 and the press roller 12 in the casing 20 of a heat roller fixation type fixing apparatus 10, and a paper transporting guide 18 for transporting and guiding the paper is arranged just above the opening, and also, steam spill holes 26 and 26 are formed in the paper transporting guide 18, and the steam spill hole 26 is formed so that the opening area may become smaller as it comes closer to the left and right sides in a paper width direction from the center F of the paper transporting path A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
