PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform photographing using a proper exposure value without using complicated arithmetic.
SOLUTION: An object light that is made incident through an imaging lens 13 of a digital camera 10 is photoelectric-converted by a CCD 36 and then stored in an SDRAM 44 as image data. In the case of AE control, an AE detection circuit 52 performs divided photometry of image data 55 stored in the SDRAM 44 and defines a result as a photometric value (Lv) for each area. A CPU 33 weights the photometric values of areas, calculates a temporary exposure value, calculates a threshold resulting from adding +2.0Ev to the temporary exposure value and calculates a differential amount between the threshold and a maximum photometric value. The CPU 33 then calculates an exposure correction amount using a membership function (not shown in Fig.) stored in an EEPROM 49 based on the calculated differential amount and corrects the temporary exposure value based on a result of this calculation to calculate a proper exposure value, so that photographing can be performed with proper exposure without using complicated arithmetic.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
