PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure concentricity of bearings without affected by precision of components, in a stepping motor where a rotating shaft is supported by the bearing on both sides, in axial direction, of a permanent magnet and a first stator pair forming A-phase and a second stator pair forming B-phase are arranged in circumferential direction relative to a rotor. SOLUTION: In a stepping motor 1, a rotating shaft 3 is supported by a first bearing 17 and a second bearing on both sides, in axial direction, of a permanent magnet 4, and a first stator pair 6 forming A-phase and a second stator 7 forming B-phase are arranged in circumferential direction relative to a rotor 2. The first stator pair 6 and the second stator pair 7 are so arranged that a shortest distance W1 between an end part 9a1 of a polar tooth 9a of the first stator pair 6 and an end part 11a1 of a polar tooth 11a of the second stator pair 7 facing each other in circumferential direction is larger than the diameter of the permanent magnet 4.
