PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent contact between a reel flange and a magnetic tape by blocking the deformation of a reel hub caused by the winding fastening force of the magnetic tape in a magnetic tape cartridge where a single reel having the magnetic tape wound on the outer periphery of the cylindrical reel hub is rotatably housed in a cartridge case, a locking member for inhibiting the rotation of the reel by locking the reel when unused is disposed to move in the axial direction of the reel between a locking position and an unlocking position. SOLUTION: A locking member 4 is provided with a support means 48 for supporting a peripheral wall of the reel hub 21 by being always brought into contact with multiple parts of the inner peripheral surface of the reel hub 21.
