PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the running cost of an antifreeze heater in a water heater. SOLUTION: In this water heater 1 of an embodiment, as a tip end of a wall penetration distribution pipe part 8 penetrated through an outer wall 20 is introduced from an insertion hole 16 formed on a back face of a main body case 9 of a boiler main body 2, and connected with a water pipe part 4 of the boiler 2 in the main body case 9, an antifreeze heater on a device side and an antifreeze heater on a piping side independently mounted and independently heated on the device side and the piping side in a conventional device become unnecessary, and the capacity of the antifreeze heater 29 and the running cost can be reduced. Further by connecting the wall penetration distribution pipe part 8 with the water pipe part 4 in the main body case 9, conventional outdoor piping and pipe cold protection chamber for covering the water pipe part 4 for the purpose of cold protection, become unnecessary, and further the running cost can be also reduced as the power consumption by the antifreeze heater used for keeping the part warm, can be saved.
