PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sash window capable of preventing water leakage to the indoor side, by draining water infiltrating into a rail of a paper sliding screen without draining to a lower frame upper surface. SOLUTION: A drain hole 212 is formed in an under surface of the paper sliding screen for draining the water infiltrating into the rail. A lower frame 12 is provided with a water discharge hole 371 positioned under the drain hole 212, a drain passage 230 communicating with this water discharge hole 371, and a drain valve 234. The drain hole 212, the water discharge hole 371 and the drain passage 230 are formed in an indoor side space of an airtight line formed of an airtight material 31. Since the water infiltrating into the rail of the paper sliding door can be drained outdoors via the drain hole 212, the water discharge hole 371, the drain passage 230 and the drain valve 234, the water is not drained to an upper surface of the lower frame 12, and water leakage to the indoor side can be prevented.
