PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof material for enhancing workability, and having the waterproof function, the heat insulating function and the dewproofing function. SOLUTION: This roof material A forms a waterproof piece 13 projecting upward on the tip of the upstream side of a decorative surface 4, and a water cut-off piece 14 projecting the tip of the waterproof piece 13 to the downstream side; and forms a stepped decorative surface 6 suspended downward in the vicinity of the downstream tip side of the decorative surface 4, the innermost piece 8 downward projecting the vicinity of the decorative surface tip 4, and an inserting piece 9 projecting the tip of the innermost piece 8 to the downstream side; and forms the water cut-off piece 14 so as to always become a state of contacting with a downstream end vicinal reverse surface of the decorative surface 4 in the connection.
