PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a readily realizable method by which discoloration, fading, wrinkles, shrinkage, or the like, can be suppressed irrespectively of the species of a plant to be processed in the method for processing in order to dry the plant. SOLUTION: A sheet-like desiccating agent 21 is placed in a vessel 11 having the opened top surface and sand 22 and a natural flower 3 are further placed so as to bury the natural flower 3 in the sand 22. A cover 23 is mounted on the vessel 11 so as not to leak the sand 22. The whole of the vessel 11 and the cover 23 is placed in a hermetically sealing bag 24 and air in the hermetically sealing bag 24 is decompressed and deaerated to hermetically seal the bag.
