PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery preventing electrolyte leakage caused by insufficient junction of a blowout valve 2 by forming a standing wall part 2b in the peripheral part of the blowout valve 2. SOLUTION: The battery is equipped with a recessed part 1a formed on the surface of a cover plate 1, a through hole 1c to the inside formed in a part of a bottom surface 1b of the recessed part 1a, the blowout valve 2 arranged on the bottom surface 1b so as to block the through hole 1c inside the recessed part 1a, and an annular plate 3 arranged to press the blowout valve 2 down inside the recessed part 1a, and the bottom surface 1b of the recessed part 1a, the blowout valve 2, and the annular plate 3 are joined in the periphery of the through hole 1c, and the standing wall part 2b along the side surface of the recessed part 1a is formed in the peripheral part of the blowout valve 2.
