摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction transmitting device capable of appropriately adjusting a preload to be given between rollers with work for giving a small preload without performing accurate position adjustment. SOLUTION: In this friction transmitting device, a driving roller 1 and a driven roller 2, which are rotatably supported, are pushed to be brought in contact with each other, and power is transmitted form one of the two rollers to the other thereof by friction force generated in a contact part. A cam member having cam slopes 6a and 7a formed with an angle in relation to a tangent C in a contact point P of the driving roller 1 and the driven roller 2 and for pushing both the rollers 1 and 2 for contact by making the cam slopes 6a and 7a to abut on a cam follower 4a is divided into a normal rotating cam 6 for generating pushing force with normal rotating torque and a reverse rotating cam 7 for generating pushing force with reverse rotating torque. A preload giving means is provided to give a preload between both the rollers 1 and 2 by moving the cams 6 and 7 in a direction at a right angle against the pushing force applying to the roller contact surfaces and pinching the cams 6 and 7.
