PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate valve lift adjustment work. SOLUTION: A rocker arm 13 is rocked in relation to a control shaft 32 by rotation of a drive shaft 3 via a link arm 14, and a rocker cam 7 is rocked in relation to the drive shaft 3 via a link member 15 with accompanying that. A valve lifter 6 is pressed down by rock of the rocker cam 7. A control cam eccentric in relation to an axial center of the control shaft 32 is provided on the control shaft 32 as one body, a rocking fulcrum position of the rocker arm 13 is changed by rotating the control cam to change valve lift. An eccentric bushing 22 is provided on an inner circumference surface of the rocker arm 13 on an outer circumference side of the control cam. The eccentric bushing 22 is meshed with an inner circumference gear formed on an inner circumference of the rocker arm 13 by an outer circumference gear 39b and is connected with the rocker arm 13. Valve lift is adjusted by rotating the eccentric bushing 22 in relation to the control cam and the rocker arm 13 by a predetermined amount under a condition that the connection is released by moving the eccentric bushing 22 in an axial direction.
