PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleansing the hair by which the hair having a natural touch feeling and natural visual appearance is provided at the finish of operation. SOLUTION: The liquid aqueous cosmetic composition, especially a hair composition designed to cleanse the hair contains the following components in an aqueous medium acceptable as a cosmetic: 10-90 wt.% at least one 2-4C monoalcohol based on the whole amount of the composition; 0.01-5 wt.% at least one surfactant selected from an anionic surfactant, an amphateric and/or amphoionic surfactant, and a nonionic surfactant based on the whole amount of the composition; 0.01-5 wt.% reagent for solubilizing a liposoluble compound, different from the surfactant, and selected from a linear or branched hydrocarbon, a hydrogenated or unhydrogenated polyolefin, a volatile silicone and a mixture thereof, and 1-89.98% water.
