PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially advantageously producing an (meth)acrylic acid ester having a lactone skeleton, scarcely containing impurities, and having high quality, without conducting adsorption treatment. SOLUTION: This method for producing the (meth)acrylic acid ester having the lactone skeleton comprises reacting an alcohol having the lactone skeleton with (meth)acrylic acid or a reactive derivative thereof in the presence of a hydrocarbon-based solvent and/or an ether-based solvent, cleaning the obtained reaction mixture with a water solution containing amines, further cleaning the mixture with ion exchange water or distilled water, substituting the solvent with an ester-based or ketone-based solvent composed of six or more carbon atoms, and crystallizing the objective product by using the ester-based or ketone-based solvent.
