PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back lining bonding device capable of automating a preparation of a tubular back lining and a bonding operation of the back lining to a front cover. SOLUTION: The back lining binding device is provided with a front cover supply mechanism 23, a conveyor mechanism 24, an adhesive coating mechanism 25, a paper folding mechanism 26, a back lining preparation mechanism 27 and a back lining bonding mechanism 28. The front cover supply mechanism 23 supplies a front cover 4 for a hollow back book in a non-folded state onto the upper stream side of a conveyor path 31. The conveyor mechanism 24 conveys the supplied front cover 4 to the lower stream side of the conveyor path 31. The adhesive coating mechanism 25 applies an adhesive in a center part of the surface of the front cover 4 conveyed on the conveyor path 31 in a width equal to or greater than the width of the spine in the inside of the hollow back book. The paper folding mechanism 26 continuously shapes a kraft paper 33 strip in a flat tubular form in a width equal to the coating width of the adhesive. The back lining preparation mechanism 27 cuts the shaped tubular kraft paper 33 in a pre-determined length to prepare a back lining 3. The back lining bonding mechanism 28 is arranged on the lower stream side of the adhesive coating mechanism 25 and bonds the back lining 3 in an adhesive-coated section in the front cover 4.
