COATING HOPPER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CATALYTIC CONVERTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the yield at a catalyst slurry coating step and the quality of a work by preventing the catalyst slurry stuck to a circular seal from dripping when a catalytic converter is manufactured. SOLUTION: This coating hopper is provided with a main body for supplying the catalyst slurry to the upper end face of the work having an almost cylindrical shape and the rubber circular seal capable of being brought into press-contact with the whole outer peripheral surface of the upper end face of the work. The circular seal is provided with a slurry receiving part for receiving the catalyst slurry stuck to the circular seal when the catalyst slurry is supplied. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
