The draft excluder (1), to seal the under edge of a door against the floor or window against its frame, has a spring strip (40) to press a holding rail (44) down when the door is closed, and raise it when the door is opened. Springs (30) within a divided pressure bar (24) pull the rail up in the housing (10) as the door is opened. The ends (36,38) of the spring strip are bent upwards across its longitudinal line, to fit into grooves (32,34) at the pressure bar. The assembly is of metal and/or plastics materials.
