<p>The invention relates to engineering, in particular to superconducting materials and to methods for processing said materials. The inventive method for transiting a metal conductor into a superconducting state consists in plastically deforming a conductor by a wire single-spiral winding or by coiling wires into a spiral, in bringing a dislocation density to a value equal to or greater than 1.10<8> cm<-2 >by< >deformation and in successively increasing said dislocation density of the conductor to a value ranging from 1.10<12>-1.10<15 >cm<-2>. A metal conductor can be prewound around the longitudinal axis thereof and afterwards coiled into a single-spiral. The winding of two wires into a spiral is carried out at an angle of turn inclination to the longitudinal axis thereof ranging from 20 to 58 DEG . Each wire can be also prewound around the axis thereof. Heat-treatment is carried out by means of any known method at a temperature which is less than a metal melting point. Said heat treatment can be carried out simultaneously with a current passage through the spiral. Said invention makes it possible to obtain a such dislocation density in a metal conductor which is required for the transition thereof into a superconducting state and which can not be attained by plastic deformation.</p> |
