Data for searching a spot includes: (a) a plurality of spot search files RF-k including POI data RFP-i consisting of spot information such as a facility existing in each of areas obtained by dividing the region to be searched for the spot, the spot latitude/longitude, address, and the like; (b) a menu display file MF as data for displaying a search menu; and (c) an area management table TBL. When performing a spot search, condition information is generated according to the menu display file MF, a spot search file RF-k corresponding to the condition information is identified according to the area management table TBL, and the POI data RFP-i contained in the spot search file RF-k is extracted according to the condition information.
