<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus and a data management method in the electronic apparatus which can be approved to use with respect to an external recording medium which is yet to be certified under certain restrictions. <P>SOLUTION: A personal computer (PC), provided with a hard disk 10 which is detachable has a verification discriminating means discriminating whether the hard disk 10, is verified by the PC, when the hard disk is loaded and a use restricting means restricting use of the hard disk, when the hard disk is discriminated as the hard disk not certified by the PC, the use restricting means permits browsing of data recorded in the hard disk and movement of data from the PC to the hard disk. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
