<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection apparatus 1 capable of preventing the seizure of a sliding part between a plunger tappet 36 and a cam ring 15 even if closure of a force-feed side check valve 5 is insufficient due to breakage or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel injection apparatus 1 is provided with a flow limiter 7 for limiting the backflow of fuel, in a fuel passage between the force-feed side check valve 5 and a fuel injection valve. Consequently, even if the force-feed side check valve 5 is broken and not closed sufficiently, the backflow of high pressure fuel is intercepted by the flow limiter 7. As a result, a pressure chamber 3 can always be prevented from being put in a high pressure state, and the seizure of the sliding part between the plunger tappet 36 and the cam ring 15 can be prevented. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
