<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sense accurately the seat belt set condition on an occupant applicable to a plurality of vehicle seats by subjecting the photographed image of the inside of the cabin to an image processing. <P>SOLUTION: A imaging device 14 to photograph the driver seat 12 and assistant driver seat 13 in a cabin is equipped with a single piece of image pickup device 21 and a prism 23 whose one surface is fed with the image of the driver seat 12 and other surface is fed with the image of the assistant driver seat 13 and where the two images are reflected internally and condensed to the image pickup device 21, whereby the specified image processing is performed for the photographed image given by the imaging device 14, and a mark 19 attached to a buckle 18 of the seat belt 17 is acknowledged by image, and it is determined whether or not the occupants in the respective riding positions have the seat belts put on. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
