<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection tube attaching/removing device exhibiting excellent versatility by realizing smooth coupling of protection tubes regardless of the size at the leg part. <P>SOLUTION: In the protection tube attaching/removing device for attaching/removing a protection tube to/from a wire by moving it while guiding through a guide 11, the guide 11 is provided with an auxiliary guide 70 capable of being fixed/removed to/from the guide 11. The auxiliary guide 70 is provided with an extension plate 73 for enlarging the open/close face at the leg part of the protection tube such that the wire can be contained by intruding between the open/close face, and a part 74 for guiding the open/close face to further increase the interval of the open/close face at the leg part of the protection tube intruded by the extension plate 73.
