METHOD FOR PRODUCING ARGININE USING MICROORGANISM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for increasing the yield of arginine as an amino acid from a bacterial cell-cultured product.

SOLUTION: The process(method) for increasing the yield of arginine as an amino acid from a bacterial cell-cultured product comprises increasing the level of Escherichia coli protein YggA or a protein similar thereto and using strains transferred with argP gene for imparting canavanine tolerance. The two strains are deposited in MTCC, Chandigarh, being GJ4894/pHYD952(MTCC 5127) and GJ4536/pHYD953(MTCC 5128).
