<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device which achieves high luminance by improving the light taking-out efficiency of a light emitting element. <P>SOLUTION: Blue light emitted from a light emitting layer 103 to the side of an Al<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>substrate 101 is dispersed by a pit 101A so as to be guided to the direction of a light take-out surface, and a high refractive index resin 110 like a thin film is provided with a higher refractive index than an SiN passivation film 106 covering the light take-out surface of an LED element 10. Thus, it is possible to take out blue light efficiently from the inside of the LED element 10 with the blue light emitted from the light emitting layer 103 in the direction of the light take-out surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
