<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method of a new ceramics honeycomb structure wherein the displacement of the bulkheads inside a peripheral wall and of the peripheral wall itself can't take place easily during extrusion molding, moreover the inside bulkheads and perforations are not exposed during the working of the peripheral wall, further there is no need of preparing a covering layer. <P>SOLUTION: The producing method has the processes: the extrusion molding process in which the extrusion molding of the raw material including ceramics material is carried out, the same profile is presented in general with the ceramics honeycomb structure which is to be obtained, the ceramic honeycomb intermediate molding in which the thickness of the peripheral wall is 1/15 to 1/120 to the outside diameter is obtained; the baking process which fires the obtained ceramics honeycomb intermediate molding, and acquires a ceramics honeycomb fired body; and the machining process in which machining is performed to the peripheral wall of the acquired ceramic honeycomb fired body, and which assures the dimensional precision of the predetermined outside diameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
