PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter realizing the improvement of color reproducibility. SOLUTION: The filter satisfies conditions that each spectral characteristic (s1, s2 and s3) satisfying CIE-XYZ spectral characteristic shows mountain shape having no negative value and having a single peak, and the peak values of the respective spectral curves are equal and the overlapping of the spectral curves at skirt parts is made as small as possible. In the filter, peak wavelength exists at 582nm, 543nm and 446nm, and the peak wavelength of s1 is 580±4nm, the peak wavelength of s2 is 543±3nm, and the peak wavelength of s3 is 446±7nm.
