PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance convenience by performing seamless switching of a wired public line and a wireless line. SOLUTION: A wireless base station detecting section 203 receives a control signal transmitted from a wireless base station through a wireless communication interface section 201 and decides that a wireless base station is detected if a received control signal has a reception quality of predetermined level or above. A wired connector detecting section 204 detects connection of a wired connector to a wired communication interface section 202 and disconnection of the wired connector therefrom. A communication system control section 205 determines which of a wired communication protocol and a wireless communication protocol is employed based on the existence of detection of wireless base station and existence of connection of the wired connector, and controls the wireless communication interface section 201 and the wired communication interface section 202 according to the protocol thus determined.
