PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the drawback that audio data and image data are interrupted at an uncontinuous point if there is the uncontinuous point of a time stamp caused by editing or the like, when AV content having the time stamp is reproduced via a network. SOLUTION: A reproducing device inquires an AV server about a range of an initial timestamp continuous region of AV content data while designating the entire or one part of the AV content, and acquires the information on the range of the initial timestamp continuous region. The device further inquires about the next timestamp continuous region to which a timestamp continues, acquires the information on the continuous region, and sequentially repeats this operation to reproduce the audio data or image data without interruption.
