PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disk cartridge which can securely open/shut a head opening and which improves dustproof properties in the state in which the head opening is shut. SOLUTION: The disk cartridge is provided with the head opening 16 for permitting a head of a drive device to access a recording surface of a disk-like medium rotatably accommodated in a disk accommodating part 50 of a case 14. The head opening 16 is shut by performing mutual abutment of ends 90 and 92 of a first shutter 64 capable of coaxially being rotated with the axial center of the disk medium and the second shutter 74 capable of being rotated around the rotational axial center different from that of the first shutter 64. The abutment ends 90 and 92 includes arc parts 90D and 92D, respectively, formed in an arc shape having the center of the rotational axial center of the second shutter 74, and the opening movement of the second shutter 74 is permitted irrespective of the position of the first shutter 64. A clapper part 90A provided to the abutment end 90 of the first shutter 64 overlaps with the abutment end 92 of the second shutter 74. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
