PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the illegal opening and destruction of a door body of a vending machine by prevent an auxiliary locking device for restraining and holding the door body of the vending machine in a closed state from being broken open or destroyed by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: In this auxiliary locking device, a blocking body 7 is rotatably mounted at one end of a base body 6, which is fixed to a vending machine body 1, via a rotating shaft 8; an engaging pawl 12 is provided at the leading end of the blocking body 7; a ring body 5, which is engaged with the engaging pawl 12, is provided on the front surface of the door body 2; the blocking body 7 is made slidable along the front surface of the door body 2; a keyhole 4 is covered by rotating the blocking body 7 until the blocking body 7 almost abuts on the door body 2 in a state wherein the door body 2 is closed and locked by a door locking means 3; after that, the blocking body 7 is slid so that the engaging pawl 12 can be engaged with the ring body 5 of the door body 2, and locked by inserting a key into a fixed lock; and both the rotating motion and sliding motion of the blocking body 7 are disabled so that the blocking body 7 can be put into a locked and fixed state.
