PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a clearance between sandbags in use by connecting even mutual vertically superposed expansive sandbags, by checking carrying-away by water when expanding by absorbing the water. SOLUTION: This expansive sandbag 11 stores an expansive body 13 expanding by absorbing liquid in a rectangular water permeable bag 12. In the expansive sandbag 11, connecting means 14 and 15 connected to adjacent and/or superposed separate expansive sandbag 11 are arranged in six places of four corners and intermediate positions of long sides of the water permeable bag 12.
