PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a non-water-based wood preservative composition which can achieve long-term decay resistance comparable to that of a creosote oil, which can cope with even decay caused by attacks of complex fungi, and which avoids a harmful influence exerted on the environment by hazardous substances such as benzo(a)pyrene. SOLUTION: This wood preservative composition includes an organic acid copper salt (a), a quaternary ammonium salt (b), and an engine oil (c) containing a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil with a boiling point of 300°C or higher. Preferably, the organic acid copper salt is copper naphthenate and/or an octyl acid copper salt. Preferably, the quaternary ammonium salt is selected from among a didecyldimethyl ammonium salt, a cocoalkyl benzylmethyl ammonium salt, and a didecylmethyl polyoxyethyl ammonium salt.
