PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water current appreciation device which presents a decorative effect with the help of a liquid flowing downward and can prevent a water splash and a noise from occurring. SOLUTION: The water current appreciation device 10 is constituted of a strip member 11 arranged vertically and a nozzle 12 arranged at the upper part of the the strip member 11. In addition, the device 10 generates such an effect that the strip member 11 is made to look virtually like a column by a surface tension which occurs when a liquid W flows downward along each surface of the strip member 11 through flowing the liquid W out to each surface of the strip member 11 via a nozzle 12. In the process in which the liquid W flows downward along the strip member 11, the acceleration of a flowing-down velocity of the liquid W is restrained by a frictional resistance between the liquid W and the strip member 11.
