PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of giving a damage to laundry when solvent is mixed with water. SOLUTION: The washing and drying machine is provided with an outer tank commonly used as a washing room and a drying room, an airflow channel including the outer tank connected with the outer tank at the import and the export to form an air circulation channel, an air blowing means to circulate air to the air circulation channel, an air heater provided in the airflow channel, a communicating port in the airflow channel to communicate with outside, a mountable and detachable lid to close the communicating port, and an elastic member mounted on the end of the communicating port to keep airtightness with the back of the lid. The elastic member is provided with an inside protruding portion that protrudes obliquely upward into the communicating port and an outside protruding portion that protrudes obliquely upward outside of the communicating port.
