PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ornament which can hold the excellent hardness and the beautiful appearance for a long time and a production method thereof and a timepiece with the ornament. SOLUTION: The ornament 1A has a base material 2 mainly built up of Ti and/or a stainless steel at least at a part near the surface thereof and a coating film 3 mainly made of TiCN provided on the base material 2. The film 3 has the first region 31 provided on the side of the base material 2 and the second region 32 provided on the side farther away from the base material 2 as compared with the first region 31.
