PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for fixing a board to an imaging element of an electronic endoscope, capable of firmly fixing a wiring board on which electronic parts are mounted to a solid imaging element with accurate positional relation without generating deformation or breaking of leads. SOLUTION: The structure has a pedestal 16 for fixing the board, made of an electric insulating material, whose section is U-shaped with a pair of leg parts 16b projecting at right angles from both ends of a flat plate-like part 16a, and the front surface of the flat plate-like part 16a of the pedestal 16 for fixing the board is pasted to the back surface of the solid imaging element 10.
