<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human contemplation device capable of surely detecting a human based on image data picked up by a TV camera. <P>SOLUTION: This human detector includes two cameras 1 with approximately the same focal distance installed on an upper part of a predetermined area by providing right under or fixed depression angle by making an optical axis approximately in parallel, an image memory 5a which stores two images simultaneously photographed with the two cameras, a featured value extraction part 5b which associates the same points of the simultaneously picked up images stored in the image memory and a classification means 5c for performing an operation for calculating three-dimensional coordinates of the same points associated by the featured value extraction part and classifying the human depending on difference in height direction of the calculated three-dimensional coordinates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
