<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector assembly which can connect an inserting terminal portion of a male element to the inside of the receiving spindle hole of a socket provided at one end of a female type housing element so as not to relatively rotate, based on one touch inserting operation for relatively press inserting the inserting terminal portion from the aperture of the receiving spindle hole. <P>SOLUTION: On the basis of the press inserting operation, an expanding diameter shape keeping bush 74 is extruded inside the receiving spindle hole 253. By the restoring (diameter reducing) action of an annular restraint body 551, one end aperture portion 352 is coaxially arranged on the outer periphery of the limited region of the rear region 14 of the inserted insertion end portion 11, and also is elastically and radially contracted inward with respect to the rear region 14, and an annular engaging projection portion 352a arranged on the one end aperture portion 352 so as to project radially inward is locked to and engaged with an annular projection 13, and locks the male element 10, and also produces a frictional resistance between the rear region 14 and the annular restraint body 551 via the one end aperture portion 352.
