<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of registering 2D image data of a hollow tube together with 3D image data without using a position sensor. <P>SOLUTION: The three-dimensional progress of the center axis 10 of a previously given part of the hollow tube 2 is determined based on the 3D image data 8, and the three-dimensional progress of the center axis 10 is transferred to the linear progress by the first conversion of the 3D image data 8 of the previously given part of the hollow tube 2. The conversion parameter necessary for the first conversion is filed. A 3D image data set 11 connected as arranged parallel on a center straight line according to the known relative movement position is generated from a series of 2D image data. First, the connected 3D image data set 11 is registered together with the converted 3D image data 9, and next, the connected 3D image data set 11 or the 2D image data 5 included in the connected 3D image data set 11 are registered together with the 3D image data 9 by the identification of the center straight line and the linear progress of the center axis 10 and by the appropriate parallel movement for superposition of common reference points. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
