<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device for units which improves the disassembly workability of apparatus in a module of an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The module of the image forming apparatus using a main body 101 of the image forming apparatus as a base and performing extension by stacking optional equipment one above the other thereon is provided with holding sections 113, 213, 313, and 413 for lifting the simple bodies of the modules in the respective modules. When the other module is mounted on the module, the holding sections 113, 213, 313, and 413 of the module are covered by grip shutters 120, 220, 320, and 420 and are put into an unholdable state that the holding sections are not exposed to an exterior surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
