<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system which is provided with a fuel cell and a catalyst combustor which has a high catalyst combustion reaction rate (purification rate) against noxious materials contained in the exhaust fuel and has a low pressure loss when the exhaust fuel and the air for catalytic combustion pass through the fuel cell system composed of the fuel cell and the catalyst combustor, that purifies the fuel exhausted from the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst combustor has a structure that it is composed of two combustion chambers divided by a porous sheet with catalyst layer, and in one combustion chamber only an introduction port is installed into which the exhaust gas is introduced, while in the other combustion chamber the introduction port is installed into which air is introduced, as well as the exhaust port from which the air is exhausted containing water and the carbon dioxide after catalytic combustion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
