<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that the production of bulk metal glass of a diameter ≥2 mm including 100% glass phase is heretofore difficult and that a crystalline phase is included in the the actually obtained bulk metal glass alloy and therefore the bulk metal glass alloy is low in strength, is still insufficient in soft magnetism, and has a limit in its practicability. <P>SOLUTION: The metal glass alloy which is expressed by [(Fe<SB>1-a</SB>Co<SB>a</SB>)<SB>0.75</SB>Si<SB>x</SB>B<SB>0.25-X</SB>]<SB>100-Y</SB>M<SB>Y</SB>(where, M is one kind of elements selected from Nb, Zr, W, Cr, Mo, Hf, V, and Ti, and 0.1≤a≤0.6, 0.03≤X≤0.07, 1≤Y≤4 (atomic%)) or [(Fe<SB>1-a-b</SB>Co<SB>a</SB>Ni<SB>b</SB>)<SB>0.75</SB>Si<SB>x</SB>B<SB>0.25-X</SB>]<SB>100-Y</SB>M<SB>Y</SB>(M is the same as above, and 0.1≤a≤0.6, 0<b≤0.6, 0.2≤a+b≤0.6, 0.03≤X≤0.07, 1≤Y≤4 (atomic%)), and in which the temperature interval ΔT<SB>x</SB>of a supercooled liquid is ≥40K, and a conversion vitrification temperature Tg/Tl is ≥0.57 is provided. The metal glass alloy has superhigh strength having ≥3,850 MPa compressive strength and ≥185 GPa young's modulus at room temperature, and has soft magnetic properties having ≥0.6 T suturation magnetic flux density, ≤5A/m coercive force and ≥10,000 permeability(μe) at 1KzH. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
