<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic composition constituting a piezoelectric element in which both electromechanical coupling coefficient Kp and mechanical quality coefficient Qm exhibit high value. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric ceramic composition contains (a) perovskite type PbZrO<SB>3</SB>, (b) perovskite type PbTiO<SB>3</SB>and (3) multiple perovskite type Pb(Mn<SB>1/3</SB>Sb<SB>2/3</SB>)O<SB>3</SB>, in which the relative quantity of each of the component (a), the component (b) and the component (c) satisfies a condition of 1.02≤2a+b≤1.10 and 0.01≤b≤0.11 in general formula, Pb(Zr<SB>a</SB>Ti<SB>1-a</SB>)<SB>1-b</SB>(Mn<SB>1/3</SB>Sb<SB>2/3</SB>)<SB>b</SB>O<SB>3</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
