<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a BaTiO<SB>3</SB>based semiconductor ceramic composition in which the Curie temperature is shifted in the normal direction without using Pb and the resistivity at room temperature is remarkably decreased. <P>SOLUTION: This BaTiO<SB>3</SB>based semiconductor ceramic composition having an optimally controlled valency, the resistivity remarkably decreased at room temperature and suitable for applications such as a PTC (positive temp. coeff.) thermistor, a PTC heater, a PTC switch, a temperature detector and particularly a heater for automobile is obtained by replacing a part of Ba with A1 element (at least one kind of Na, K, Li) and A2 element (Bi) and further replacing Ba with a specific quantity of Q element or replacing a part of Ba with A1 element (at least one kind of Na, K, Li) and A2 element (Bi)and further replacing a part of Ti with a specific quantity of M element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
