<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein injection resistance increases because of a light-shielding part formed near a liquid crystal injection hole and an injection time becomes long during liquid crystal injection, when the light-shielding part made of resin is provided at the peripheral edge part of a display area. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device is equipped with an array substrate 1 which has a display area R1, a counter substrate 2, the light-shielding part 20 formed at the peripheral edge of the display area, a seal material 40 which has the liquid crystal injection hole, and a liquid crystal layer 3. At least the sealing material 40 and light-shielding part 20 nearby the liquid crystal injection hole are arranged with a gap between them on the same plane.
