<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion compensated fiber module for extending the transmission distance of a long-distance transmission line by compensating NZ-DSF, and to provide an optical fiber transmission line. <P>SOLUTION: The dispersion compensated fiber module is connected to an optical fiber, in which the wavelength dispersion is +2 to +6 ps/nm/km in a wavelength of 1.55μm, the dispersion slope is +0.075 to +0.095 ps/nm<SP>2</SP>/km and the rate of the dispersion slope to the wavelength dispersion is 0.016 nm<SP>-1</SP>to 0.024 nm<SP>-1</SP>, compensated so as to lessen the residual dispersion. The rate of the dispersion slope to the wavelength dispersion in the wavelength of 1.55μm is 0.016 nm<SP>-1</SP>to 0.026 nm<SP>-1</SP>, and the value converting the maximum residual dispersion difference in a wavelength range of 1.525μm to 1.565μm per km of the transmission optical fiber is 0.4 ps/nm/km or lower. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
