PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve analysis sensitivity by improving mass resolution and improving the passage efficiency of ions having a target number of masses. SOLUTION: Three-stage quadruplex pole electrodes are arranged in series at a mass spectrometry section 2, and a high-frequency voltage, a voltage in which a high-frequency voltage and a DC voltage are superposed, and a voltage in which an AC voltage is superposed are applied to a first-stage auxiliary quadruplex pole electrode 21, a second-stage middle quadruplex pole electrode 22, and a third-stage main quadruplex pole electrode 23, respectively. The operation conditions reach a prescribed state in a stable region until a target ion introduced into the mass spectrometry section 2 reaches the third-stage quadruplex pole electrode 22, the target ion does not show any unstable behavior even in the electric field of AC voltage components in the main quadruplex pole electrode 22, and an ion having the number of masses close to that of the target ion is appropriately removed.
