PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a contents reproducing device which is capable of improving viewer convenience while having respect for the intention of a broadcasting station or program sponsor. SOLUTION: If control information recorded in a control information recording section 4 includes information of a block to permit the omission of reproduction in the case of reproducing contents, a block of contents recorded in a contents recording section 5, other than the block to permit the omission of reproduction, is reproduced.
