PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tail pipe structure in an exhaust system for a vehicle suppressing the occurrence of air flow sound (jet sound) without having large influence on a demand for lowering back pressure. SOLUTION: In the tail pipe structure in the exhaust system for the vehicle wherein a downstream side opening of a tail pipe 1 is provided with a large-diameter finisher 2 enlarged in diameter from a tail pipe 1, the finisher 2 is provided inside with a branch partition wall 3 for dividing exhaust gas flowing in from the tail pipe 1, into a main passage A at the center part and a branch passage B at an outer peripheral diameter enlarged part, and communicating holes 3c for communicating the branch passage with the main passage A are formed in the mutually shifted positions of the phases of wave motion of sound of exhaust gas flowing in the main passage A and wave motion of sound of exhaust gas flowing in the branch passage B at the intermediate parts of the branch partition wall 3.
